CrowdStrike said China-linked hackers used DeepSeek and another AI model to target more than 200 organizations in 11 days, compromising at least nine, according to NBC News. The campaign suggests AI is scaling reconnaissance and intrusion work across many victims with fewer human operators. It is a materially different development from controlled tests of model cyber capabilities, with direct operational impact.
