1. OpenAI nears $30 billion raise at $1.25 trillion valuation
OpenAI is close to raising up to $30 billion at a $1.25 trillion pre-money valuation, led by Coatue and UAE investors, according to CNBC. The round could come with a separate UAE deal for more computing capacity, and terms are still being negotiated. At that price OpenAI would be the most valuable private company ever, which raises the bar for its planned IPO and for Anthropic’s expected listing.

2. DeepSeek raises about $15 billion
DeepSeek has raised about 100 billion yuan, roughly $15 billion, double its original target, at a reported pre-money valuation of 500 billion yuan. CATL and Tencent were among the largest backers, with Meituan, Geely, GigaDevice, Midea and NetEase among more than 15 investors, per Reuters. The money arrives days after Washington ordered federal agencies to drop DeepSeek, and shows Chinese industrial capital is willing to fund a domestic frontier lab at scale.

3. Anthropic hands Agent Skills to the Linux Foundation
Anthropic donated Agent Skills, its open standard for packaging agent instructions and scripts in a SKILL.md folder, to the Agentic AI Foundation under the Linux Foundation, where it previously placed MCP. More than 70 platforms, including ChatGPT, Cursor and GitHub Copilot, already support it, and Anthropic counts about 280 million skill installs. Neutral governance makes it easier for rival vendors to commit to the format.
